What have they got to hide? Make decision making in Hull more public - say Lib Dems

At this week's meeting of Hull Council, Lib Dem opposition members are set to call for more openness from decision makers in the city.

It comes after decisions on issues including charging groups to use public parks in Hull were taken in private by the "Hull Culture and Leisure Board" - which is chaired by Council boss Terry Geraghty.

Lib Dem councillor Claire Thomas said: "It is not right that bodies like HCAL, who manage a huge amount of public money and resources are taking decisions without consultation or scrutiny. The public have a right to know how their money is being spent and how decisions that affect us all are being made."
