Petition for Road Safety Improvements to the junction of Heads Lane and Ferriby Road

Hessle Lib Dems are calling for road safety improvements for the junction of Heads Lane and Ferriby Road.

The enlargement of the School on Heads Lane coupled with the increased traffic from new housing and office development in north-west Hessle is adding to the pressure on this junction.

Councillor Phil Davison said, "Recent minor works have taken place at the junction, but have not tackled the risk to drivers and pedestrians and simply postponed the necessary safety measures of either traffic lights or a roundabout."

Councillor David Nolan added, "The current situation is just not good enough. We are calling for action before someone is killed or seriously injured."
