Funding for local schools set to fall by £60 per pupil

Liberal Democrat analysis has revealed that real terms spending per pupil will fall in Hull during 2017-18 by £60.


Once inflation is taken into account schools in Hull will receive £60 less per pupil. Hull pupils will be hit harder than most, with the average cut for the UK standing at £29 per pupil in real terms.

Conservative ministers are damaging the prospects of children and young people in Hull when we should be investing in education to ensure every child has the best start in life.

Lib Dems in Hull want investment in education so that no school loses money per pupil in cash terms.
