Save a life - More defibrillators in Hull

Hull Lib Dems have called on Hull City Council to act to save lives across the city.

Bransholme resident Gary Mackinder tragically lost his life when he collapsed and there wasn't access to a defibrillator nearby.

Defibrillators save lives when people collapse. According to professional health risk assessments:

"If a defibrillator is used within the first minute, the survival rate can be as high as 90%. If a defibrillator is used within the first 3 to 5 minutes, the likelihood of survival is roughly 74% showing that having a defibrillator close by really makes all the difference."

Hull just doesn't have enough of them and people just don't know where they are. It has to change.
