Scrap Council Tax during Coronavirus crisis - sign the petition below...

Liberal Democrat councillors in Hull are calling on the Government to ease the financial worries of people across the city - by picking up the bill for Council Tax until at least July.

Hull Lib Dem leader Cllr Mike Ross said: "Many people across Hull - and across the country - are worried about the impact the Coronavirus outbreak is having on their household income. With so many people unsure what the future holds for their jobs and welfare, it is vital that the Government steps in to help."

Waiving Council Tax payments for the next three months would save the average household in Hull £475. The Lib Dem plan would mean a complete suspension on all households in Bands A to E and a 50% reduction in Band F and all bands higher. Instead the Government would pay the bill - directly to Hull City Council.
