You say it's time for a change at Hull City Council. We agree.
This May every councillor in Hull is up for election - so you have a chance to deliver real change.
We will restore healthcare funding cut by Labour, to support new mothers, children and victims of domestic abuse.
We will introduce a "Crime Prevention Fund" to help you make your community safer. And we’ll work with the Police to get extra officers on the beat.
We will increase resources for street cleaning and maintenance in our parks and play areas. Labour have taken resource from residential areas to put in the city centre. All communities in Hull should get their fair share.
We will invest to improve community high streets. It’s great that the city centre has seen so much investment, but our key shopping parade – Holderness Road, Beverley Road, Newland Avenue, Princes Avenue, Chanterlands Avenue, Anlaby Road and Hessle Road – need to be supported too.
We will prioritise keeping roads and footpaths in local communities in good condition, freeing up extra funding from elsewhere in the Council and lobbying Government for more.
Above all, we believe it’s your city. Too often the Council is remote, uncaring, and doesn’t listen. We will make sure that residents’ views are heard, respected, and your concerns addressed.
If you want councillors who will make the right choices for your community – help us deliver change this May.
