Local councillors have worked to get the Wold Road and County Road South area tided after complaints from residents.
A number of residents in the area had complained to local councillor Ruth Payne about the state of grass verges and footpaths in the area.
Ruth along with Boothferry ward's other councillors, Helena Clay and Karen Woods, arranged for the area to be tided.
They arranged for tree bases to be cut back, grass verges and footpaths to be tided, and three faulty street lights to be fixed on Wold Road and County Road South.
They also arranged for a missing section of fencing to be replaced on the mini-roundabout at the junction of Wold Road and County Road South.
Ruth said: "We take residents concerns seriously. Hopefully the work carried out to Wold Road and County Road South will help to make the area clean and tidy.
"If residents have any more issues to report I would encourage them to get in touch," Ruth added.
