On Saturday 18th October streets on the Boothferry South estate in West Hull will have a ‘bring out your rubbish day’.
Local councillors Claire Thomas and Abigail Bell worked to get the ‘bring out your rubbish day’ after requests from residents in the area.
Claire said: “Abigail and I are pleased we’ve been able to help secure another Bring Out Your Rubbish day for the area. We have had them in the past, and residents in the area have told us how much they appreciate them.
“People have said how it helps to be able to get rid of large items of rubbish from the home. We hope it will also help to stop fly-tipping in the area and keep the area clean and free from rubbish.
Claire added: “There will be more ‘bring out your rubbish' days to cover the other roads in the Boothferry South estate area soon.”
On the 18th October, between 7.30am and noon a refuse collection vehicle will tour these streets taking part in the day. The following streets will be covered on the day:
- Gower Road (1-65 odds only)
- Burcott Garth
- Runcorn Garth
- Lynton Avenue
- Wascana Close
- Torpoint Drive
- Schooner Court
- Bethune Avenue (1-89 & 2-52 only)
- Anlaby Park Road South (91–217 & 74-292 only)
Residents will be able to dispose of any unwanted household items or rubbish, e.g. fridges, black bags, sofas, chairs, tables etc. They will need to bring their rubbish to the refuse vehicle where one of the crews will be on hand to help dispose of it.
Assistance will be available to residents who are unable to take their rubbish to the vehicle, please ask one of our crews for information.
