29 Dec 2009 - Western Gailes Way park
The team have been pressing for road safety measures to be installed at the park on Western Gailes Way. "The park is well used, but we need to make sure it is safe in the area for kids," said Patrick.
10 Dec 2009 - Sinclair Crescent fencing
The Lib Dem team are supporting residents on Sinclair Crescent, who have called for new fencing around the flats for some time. "We have been in touch with the Housing Department about this and the work has now been completed, after a long campaign," said Allen.
06 Dec 2009 - Resurfacing our Roads
Resurfacing work has been carried out recently on Stromness Way, Dalsetter Rise and Sinclair Crescent. "We are pressing for further improvements," said Maureen.
29 Nov 2009 - More parking in our area
Plans are being prepared to increase the car parking available on the Ings Estate. "The areas being looked at include Mortlake Close, Garrick Close, Fortune Close and Grasby Road," said Patrick. "We are also pressing for improvements to a number of the garage blocks in the area," added Allen. "This work will include repairs to those on Mortlake, Putney and Fortune Closes, plus repainting on Tilworth Road."
19 Nov 2009 - Improving Homes
Work has been continuing on improving homes in the Spring Cottage area. The works are part of the council's "Decent Homes" programme and are due to be completed by the end of 2010. "The works on the blocks of flats on Gleneagles Park has been delayed, as we're waiting fot the utility company to install gas to some of the flats," said Cllr Allen Healand. "This has been necessary in order for them to have modern central heating," added Cllr Maureen Bristow. "As soon as the utility company has carried out the works, the central heating system can be installed."
